Keep in mind, there IS wildlife here! I came across three bears and saw a plethora of tracks from Coyotes and Mountain Lions. I carry bear spray and would highly recommend it if you planning on the higher trails.

Great place with excellent trails! The facilities at wonderful but very limited to tent camping. Hot, coin operated showers and a small store for purchasing items you may have left at home.

The map marker leads you down a residential road, if you use Google Maps. I would recommend paying close attention and browsing satellite views to see where the real entrance is located.

Just started Mountain Biking and my son and I decided to try out Cheyenne Mountain Park. There are so many trails that range from beginner to hard so we decided to try one that was a little easier. Once you are on the trails it feels like you are completely away from civilization. At one point we were within 2 feet of a herd of Deer that were in the brush. Not very busy so I would definitely recommend this place. Just remember that you need a parks pass or pay $7.00 per day to get in.

Upper campground (sites 1 - 10) have beautiful views all around. Clean bathrooms & large, level pull through sites. One of the nicest places we have stayed. Great hiking trails & close to tourist areas of Colorado Springs. Note: Camp fees do not include daily park access fees.

The waterfall was Atlantis-blue. It was gushing over the rocks. At its widest point, it was surging and plunging down the mountain. It had a beautiful serenity-pool at the bottom. It was veneer clear. The waterfall flowed as smoothly as syrup.

The park is beautiful and well maintained. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back again soon. The staff take a lot of pride in what they do and it shows throughout the entire park.
